Coco Gauff has reached another career high.

For the third year in a row, Forbes named the tennis star the world’s highest-paid woman athlete, earning $33 million in 2025.

Gauff’s reported income is the fourth-highest ever for a woman athlete in Forbes history

Of the $33 million Gauff made this year, $8 million came from her work on the court. Her on-court income was likely inflated thanks to her French Open victory in June, where she faced Aryna Sabalenka for the title, Blavity reported.

Off the court, Gauff took home $25 million, securing endorsements from New Balance, Bose and Baker Tilly.

According to Tennis.com, Gauff’s reported income is the fourth-highest ever for a woman athlete in Forbes history, trailing Naomi Osaka and Serena Williams’ 2021 totals of $57.3 million and $45.9 million, as well as her reported 2024 earnings of $34.4 million.

“As I’ve gotten older, I don’t want to just be a face of brands, but also be the brand,” the outlet reported Gauff told Forbes. “My dad has always said that this was his plan for me when I was younger, and it was up to me if I wanted to hop on board or not. And when I became 18, I knew that this is something that I wanted to work for.”

The tennis star’s latest No. 1 placement comes a few weeks after she topped Sportico’s list of highest-paid women athletes in the world.

Tennis players dominated the Forbes list’s Top 10

Mirroring the French Open’s final results, Sabalenka ranks second on Forbes’ list with $30 million in earnings in 2025. She has also secured the No. 2 spot on the WTA’s career prize money rankings with $45.2 million, following Williams’ $94.8 million.

Rounding out the top three on Forbes’ list is tennis champion Iga Świątek, who saw $25.1 million in earnings this year.

While other tennis players, including Qinwen Zheng, Madison Keys, Naomi Osaka, Elena Rybakina and Jessica Pegula, dominated the Top 10, freestyle skier Eileen Gu and golfer Nelly Korda complete the list.
